by Mithridates of Verditius, contributed by Archimedes
Summa Rego
Level 10, Quality 4
Points: 28
This book by a 10th century Greek magus fuses the art of Rego with classical Greek
geometry and Roman engineering to explain how the forces of the universe provide control
to the universe. The ideas are fairly solid but Mithridates' grammar and prose is horribly
convoluted. Written in Greek.
The World around Us: a
Perspective on the Elements
by Thaddeus of Bonisagus, contributed by Matthew
The life work of Thaddeus, Matthew's parens.
This four volume set contains phenomenal power, particularly in Thaddeus' chosen
art, Terram. Unfortunately, the works suffer from several major drawbacks.
First, Thaddeus was quite mad, and the text can be difficult to read. Second, he was
not a particularly good scribe, and the work would benefit greatly from fresh copying and
illustration, Third, the book itself is in poor condition, requiring extreme care when
reading. This is the sole and original copy and much cherished my Matthew. He
expects to spend years producing a definitive copy, gloss, and commentary as befits his
Parens. He suspects that with dedication in the copying and improvement of the
text, the true mastery of Thaddeus will come out, perhaps doubling or even trebling the
true level.

Magnum Codi
by Ricardo Spukus, contributed by El Fuego
A series of books by this Iberian Mage.
Ricardo was a Bonisagus who wanted to write the definitive apprentice series for the
Order. Unfortunately his writing skills were not up to the challenge and his books
are a bit dense. However, they are still used to train apprentices in some parts of
Europe.

"The Sound and the Scurry"
by Malorix of Ex Miscellanea, contributed by El Fuego

for new students.

The Beastes
by Henry of Bjornaer, contributed by Fagan
This series of books by an 11th century British
magus takes the form of a dialogue between Virgil and a shepherd, much like Virgils
Eclogues. The first book, Spring, is a very common text used to teach Animál magics.
However this version is missing the usual animal illustrations and is not as clear as most
versions. The second half of the book, Summer, contains the illustrations (and the higher
quality). Autumn is a much rarer book and only a few copies are known to exist. Winter was
either never written or is lost to the Order.

Divine, Control, Transform
by Tancred of Ex Miscellanea, contributed by Lothair
This is a set of books. Two of the books look similarly
bound and appear to be copies of the originals, while the third "Divine" book is
bound by two pine planks wrapped in hard leather. The cover is scrapped and marked up. The
writing inside is also different from the other two. IT appears to possibly be an original
copy.
This series of books, although poorly named, are very
well-written treatises into three of the five Hermetic Techniques. Tancred was an 11th
century Norman magus who was swept up with William The Bastard (later William the
Conqueror) and his invasion of England. It is believe that Tancred died at the battle of
Hastings. The books, oddly enough, are dialogues between William and Tancred. In each of
the books it references other books (not by name but more by second volume Tancred
memoirs. After reading all three books the reader gets the feeling that there may be more
volumes of the set that are missing.

The Nature of Nature
by Daria of Merinita, contributed by Lothair
This is a large book that has leather cords binding two
pieces of carved oak wood for covers. On the front is a picture of a bunch of trees and
bushes. Looking closely at the cover one will notice that hidden within all the plants are
various animals peeking out.
Daria was a 12th century Greek maga who wrote this book as
an introduction to nature magics. Adequately written, they are often used as apprentice
texts. The first half contains information on animals, the second half contains
information on plants.

Potentia Ereptionis ("The Ability
To Take by Force")
by Zala Rettenwender of Flambeau, contributed by Archimedes
This treatise, little more than a rant really,
was written by a 12th century Flambeau. In it, Zala tries to position magic as a force for
winning wars. She backs up her arguments with examples of magic from classical war epics.
In spite of all this, she manages to bring new insight into the world of pure magic
thought.

Through the Glass Darkly
by Incanta of Tytalus, contributed by Fagan
This two-part series focuses on the basics of Imaginem
magics with the first part being written early in Incantas studies. The second half
is much better written and shows more maturity in her thinking.

The Question of Control
by Jean-Louis of Bonisagus, contributed by Fagan
Jean-Louis, an 10th century magus, was a renown
expert on Rego magic and was on the verge of some breakthrough when he succumbed to final
Twilight. His filii fought over his notes and study and were unable to unite to finish his
work. This book, one of many by Jean-Louis, is sumptuously illustrated and illuminated and
bound on the finest of parchment. It takes the form of a lecture by the author to one of
his apprentices and was undoubtedly written as such.

Unciatim ("Little by
Little")
by Ljubomir Cmogerac of Bonisagus, contributed by Archimedes
Unciatim is one of the last works written by
Ljubomir, a theorist from the late 11th century (Rhine Tribunal). By the time he wrote
this, Ljubomir had gone quite mad and was obsessed with the idea that everything is in a
constant state of decay. His writing often devolves into paranoid musings and the quality
of this work is only this good due to the fantastic (and haunting) illustrations of this
particular copy.

by Rabbi Nehuniah and other scholars of the Second Temple, Contributed by El Fuego

The Travels of Fedosa
by Verderis of Criamon, contributed by Jebtha
Jebtha picked this one up along with a large
quantity of vis whilst visiting the Cave of Twisting Shadows. This seminal tome is the
Criamon book and is sometimes given to a newly-gauntleted magus by his parens. It is
an Authority on Enigmatic Wisdom.
