Sigh…

Well, because there are too many trolls. The great thing about living on the web for the last decade - really since about 1987 when I was at UMass on the intra-campus backbone - has been its freedom - so many ways to talk to so many people. But the downside of this has become all too real. There are indeed boogeymen in the closets, and for whatever reason, I’ve become a target for some of them.

So like so many things, what was once great and wonderful and free has had to get clamped down for reasons of - really - personal safety. Because what is safety but being able to exist without fear of recrimination.

Back to the walled garden. Move to the country. Put up the fence.

Makes me sad really, and hopefully it will change, but for now, it’s how it is. Drop me a line.
